Talk by James Dilley

Prior to this year's AGM, Dr James Dilley, experimental archaeologist and
prehistory craftsman, is giving a talk in the Members Room at 6pm on Thursday 28th April. This is entitled “The
Axe in Jersey, over 240,000 years in the making”. James, who founded
AncientCraft, has visited Jersey many times, and is a well-known face in the media
and on television. He is dedicated to reconnecting people to their
prehistoric heritage. James has explored the manufacturing process and use of
Neolithic polished stone axes in Britain using experimental archaeology, and has
demonstrated this worldwide.

Please come along and enjoy James’ talk in advance of the AGM. We will open the
hatch in between so we can have coffees and teas and biscuits – bring a sandwich!
