Chronique de Jersey

The Société Jersiaise has begun a project to digitise their collection of Chronique de Jersey newspapers. The newspaper published between 1814-1957 was Jersey’s last French-language newspaper, making it an invaluable record of our cultural heritage. Furthermore, it documents a period in which Jersey underwent significant and repeated transformations to its economy, population and societal values.

The earliest issues will be online and available to the public from July 2022, with the project due to be completed by December 2022.

This project is supported by The Jersey Community Foundation with funds from the Channel Islands Lottery.
