The Meteorology Section is the newest of the Société Jersiaise sections.  An  informal meeting in April 2011, was attended by thirteen people with interest expressed by a further two people who were unable to attend.  Following a second meeting on 20th July 2011 it was agreed to formally set up a Meteorology Section.  We intend to hold meetings about every three months, with the aim of discussing weather, climate and related topics of mutual interest.  Section members have a wide range of interests but specialist knowledge is not necessary, just a wish to meet, discuss and share information and ask questions.  If you are interested, you are invited to join a meeting, or contact either Chairman Frank Le Blancq or Secretary Sue Hardy, via the office at 7 Pier Road, who can give more information.
