New in the Library

Inspired to Teach tells the story of the Salisbury Training College (College of Sarum St Michael) 1841-1978. Many Jersey teachers trained here and some are mentioned in the text; there is also a section on the Channel Islanders during the Occupation period. This splendidly-produced and indexed book includes many photos and anecdotes. It was compiled by Jenny Head and Anne Johns who were both students at the College in the 1960s.
